That special squelch of acid house was spawned by DJ Pierre, often called the godfather of the dance music style. DJ Pierre is back, getting his latest release on double LP vinyl thanks to Diggers Factory, the one-stop hub for vinyl funding, creation, and distribution.

The service is collaborating with Get Physical Music for the vinyl release, this album called “Wild Pitch: The Story” (released Nov. 24, 2017), is a collection of originals and remixes, and a testament to DJ Pierre’s unique skills. This 2xLP offers 8 tracks, including a cover version of Donna Summer’s classic and pioneering disco cut “I Feel Love.”

Pierre has contributed hugely to the global evolution of house music for more than thirty years. Part of the foundational Chicago house group Phuture, he was instrumental in shaping and spreading the sound. He’s continued developing as an artist in the ensuing decades, launching his own club in Atlanta.
